Kaizer Chiefs sends condolences to the Tshabalalas following Tokollo’s passing on Monday

On Monday, Kaizer Chiefs sent condolences to the Tshabalala family after the passing of Tokollo nicknamed Magesh.

As reported by The South African website on Monday, the announcement was made by Pirates, where Tokollo’s father, Stanley ‘Screamer’ Tshabalala, is the Technical Director.

While the club did not disclose the cause of death, a family source informed City Press that ‘Magesh’ Tokollo, 45, had been battling epilepsy for many years.

“Orlando Pirates Football Club is saddened by the news of the passing of the son of Mr Stanley Tshabalala, Tokollo,” the club said.

“Tokollo, who also goes by the name of Magesh, was a renowned musician, famously known for his song writing and being a member of the group TKZEE.

“We convey our heartfelt and deepest sympathy to the Tshabalala Family and pledge our profound moral support. We supplicate that God gives the family fortitude at this moment of extreme grief and pain.

“May his soul repose peacefully,” the brief ended.

After Mamelodi Sundowns delivered theirs late on Monday, the formidable Amakhosi sent theirs on Tuesday afternoon.

“Rest in Peace Magesh,” Kaizer Chiefs said on social media.

“Kaizer Chiefs would like to convey heartfelt condolences to the Tshabalala family on the passing of their son, Tokollo ‘Magesh’ Tshabalala. Go well Mshengu,” the message concluded.

Meanwhile, the Glamour Boys are preparing for this weekend’s home game against Richards Bay, which will take place in Durban.

The game is scheduled for Saturday evening at 20:00 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
