K-9 Officer Mugshot Ice’s lunch theft investigation goes viral

A photograph of K-9 Officer Ice has been extensively posted on social media after police investigated him for taking his coworkers’ lunch after he was observed ‘licking his chops’ as he left the break room. The mugshot of K-9 Officer Ice has been widely shared on social media

This month, the Wyandotte Police Department (WPD) in Wyandotte, Michigan, posted a photo of the dog alongside information about the suspected crime.

According to the department, the event occurred at the station. Officer Barwig was enjoying lunch in the breakroom when he was summoned to the WPD jail to assist with a detainee. His half-eaten lunch was left on the table as he rushed into service.

A little while later, Officer Barwig and another officer returned to the breakroom to find Officer Ice “lazily strolling out of the room licking his chops.” The department observed that Barwig’s lunch had vanished entirely.

The K-9 Officer Ice mugshot has been widely distributed on social media.

The Department stated, “Ofc. Ice has invoked his right under the Fifth Amendment to remain silent and is not cooperating with the investigation.” He has a history of searching through easily accessible trash cans. Several others have accused him of stealing food directly from the hands of coworkers as they pass.’

In addition to being a criminal, stealing is morally reprehensible. Some vocations, such as being a police officer, need an oath to be taken before beginning. The officer’s oath includes a vow to defend a person’s property.

Furthermore, I regret to inform you that a present officer with the Wyandotte Police Department is under investigation for theft!

The Facebook post has gained 12,000 shares, and many have come to Officer Ice’s defense.Pictured: The lunch that was stolen from Officer BarwigOfficer Barwig left his half-eaten lunch on the table at the station. A Facebook user remarked, “Sounds like circumstantial evidence.” Since he does not appear guilty, he must be judged innocent.

Another wrote: “Rejected. If not, I’ll pay bail.’

If necessary, I will serve as this officer’s attorney pro gratis. If the teeth do not fit, you must be exonerated.

WPD Chief Brian Zalewski told Fox News Digital: The response to the Facebook post was really positive.

There was instant support for Ice and cries for the department charges to be dropped.

Since Ice has been a member of our police force for so long, he is well-known and beloved in the community.

Officer Barwig abandoned his half-eaten lunch at the station. When he returned, Officer Ice was lazily leaving the room while licking his chops.

On January 18, the Wyandotte Police Department issued a status update on Facebook. An update was shared on Facebook by the Wyandotte Police Department on January 18

Kenneth Groat, detective sergeant, is Ice’s handler.

Zalewski stated that Groat and Ice have worked together for over a decade, ever when Ice was six months old.

Even though Ice’s beard is graying and he is no longer on routine patrol, he is still an integral component of our department, Zalewski added.

Ice is a well-trained K-9 with current certifications. During his decade of service, he has supported a multitude of police enforcement authorities.

He was also one of the most sought-after police K-9s for drug search warrants, vehicle searches, and tracking suspects.

According to Zalewski, Ice is a peaceful dog that enjoys being handled and playing with his toy ball.

The Wyandotte Police Department posted on its Facebook page on January 18: ‘Dozens of attorneys have offered to represent Ofc Ice pro bono! Massive protests have been promised if we proceed with our inquiry and/or charges.

However, Ofc Ice will not be subject to internal punishment or criminal accusations.

In fact, one of his local supporters, Lunch Wyandotte, delivered a custom-made sandwich to him today since they believed he wasn’t being well fed. They also gave the officers a tray of sandwiches.

“The people have spoken: #nochargesforice”
