Joe Biden WILL attend the burial for Queen

President Joe Biden will attend the Queen’s burial, but the White House would not confirm his journey to London without an invitation from Buckingham Palace.

Biden told DailyMail.com that he would likely attend the funeral of Queen Elizabeth as he left a Democratic National Committee function on Thursday night.

Then, on Friday, he informed reporters that he intended to attend.

‘Yes. During his day trip to Ohio, he stated, “I don’t know the specifics yet, but I will be going.”

In addition, the president told reporters that he had not communicated with King Charles since the monarch’s accession to the throne.

“I recognize him. I haven’t spoken to him. I did not call him,’ Biden claimed.

President Joe Biden and the first lady paid a surprise visit to the British Embassy in Washington, D.C. on Thursday evening, hours after the announcement of the Queen’s death.

Biden signed the condolence book while surrounded by the British ambassador to the United States and the first lady.

“We’re very excited to meet her,” he remarked afterwards.

Friday aboard Air Force One, press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre refused to confirm the trip or provide specifics.

As you all are aware, there is a process, a phone call, official protocol, to which leaders are invited. This is one of the considerations we wish to maintain. Therefore, we will not circumvent this process,’ stated Jean-Pierre.

When a reporter drew the press secretary’s attention to Biden’s statements, Jean-Pierre reiterated the White House’s desire to observe protocol.

She continued, “I’ll let the president’s comments speak for itself.”

Before attending a political function, the Bidens signed a note honoring Elizabeth’s “enduring strength and dignity” as a leader.

The White House reported that President Joe Biden had met the Queen three times, most recently for tea at Windsor Castle in 2021 with first wife Jilly Biden, where they observed an honor guard.

In a world of continual change, she was a source of comfort and pride for generations of Britons, including many who had never known the country without her.

Thursday afternoon, the president issued a proclamation honoring the Queen and directing the United States flag to be flown at half-staff at the White House and other governmental buildings.

On Thursday, Biden paid tribute to the Queen twice, first signing a book of condolences at the British embassy in Washington, hours after Buckingham Palace announced the death of the long-serving British monarch.

“We sorrow for all of you,” he said, flanked by Jill Biden, the vice president’s wife.
