Joe and Jill Biden celebrate their 45th anniversary

President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden left the White House together on Friday morning for their Rehoboth Beach home to commemorate their 45th wedding anniversary and the federal holiday of Juneteenth.

Willow, the White House cat, traveled with the president and first lady on Marine One in her carrier, which was delivered to the waiting helicopter by a valet.

In a news conference before leaving, the president urged Americans not to visit to Ukraine.

‘At this time, Americans should not travel to Ukraine.’ Say it again: Americans should not travel to Ukraine at this time. The president stated, “They should not be going to Ukraine.”

He was questioned about rumors that two former service men who were assisting the combat effort in Ukraine may have been kidnapped by Russians.

The Bidens arrived in Rehoboth approximately an hour later, alighting from Marine One and were immediately followed by an aide carrying Willow in her carrier.

The president and first lady have chosen to spend most weekends in Delaware, and have spent more time at their beach residence in Cape Henlopen State Park in Rehoboth Beach as the weather has warmed.

A jet flying near the Biden house earlier this month led the Secret Service to temporarily remove the president from the premises.

‘A tiny private jet entered restricted airspace by accident,’ an official told CNN regarding the incident. ‘Precautionary procedures were taken.’ ‘The president and his family were not under any danger.’

The purpose of the trip was to commemorate the first lady’s 71st birthday.

Because Biden signed a measure last year making Juneteenth, the formal end of slavery in the United States, a federal holiday, the president and first lady will have a three-day weekend to savor.
