Jessica Mason Pieklo is being ridiculed online for saying whites who get on with their relatives must not be challenging their loved ones’ racist views

Online trolls are mocking a woke journalist who claimed that white people who get along with their family must not be opposing what she claims are their racist ideas.

Senior Vice President and Executive Editor of Rewire News Jessica Mason Pieklo faced backlash for her twitter thread from last week in which she claimed that “even decent white families” were “a little racist when you scratch the surface.”

In her initial tweet, she specifically targeted white people, saying she had doubts about their commitment to racial justice if they claimed to be committed to racial justice while maintaining excellent relations with the majority of their family members.

Because of this, Pieklo said she only speaks to three members of her family. She then asked, “How dedicated are you, really?”

Honestly, if you’re a white person who claims to be committed to racial justice and you’re in good standing with most of your family, I have *questions* for you, and they are really pointed, Pieklo said at the beginning of her Twitter thread.

She continued by saying that, as a result, she only speaks to three family members in total.

Complete disclosure For this specific reason, I’m in touch with just three people from my biological family and extended family,’ she tweeted.

She tweeted, “The first question is how dedicated are you, genuinely,” followed by another message.

“When you scratch the surface, even the good white families are a *scosh* racist.”

People quickly called her out for being a “privileged white activist” seeking to help the “non-white people” in response to the journalists’ tweets.

Pieklo published a further tweet with the following subject line: “Anyway! Tomorrow should be exciting with my email.

Twitter user @duanepoole replied, “White virtue signaling woman’s responsibility to save the non-White people of the planet by race-shaming all Whites in between her Pilates & spin session.” You’re welcome! The heroine and savior they’ve been waiting for!

Pieklo was referred to in another tweet by @ChelleDoggob as an example of “wealthy white “activists” who “acts like it’s so easy to just quit loving family members if they have outdated views.”

Even if it hurts to learn the truth about someone you love, the problem about true love is that you can’t just turn it off.

@SirBadOpinions tweeted, “Turning your family into a Jerry Springer episode to own the cons.”

She was described as a “miserable and broken person” by another Twitter user.

After she ceased communicating with them, “her family got the better end of the deal.” What a terrible, shattered individual… wrote @AleksDjuricic.
