Desperate relatives of missing victims of the Ukrainian shopping mall attack appealed for help in finding their loved ones

Yesterday, desperate family members of the missing victims of the Ukrainian shopping mall attack made an appeal for assistance in finding their loved ones.

Ihor Ivakhenko, whose girlfriend Tatyana Brigadirenko worked at the Amstor mall when it was struck by a Russian missile strike, was among those at the scene asking bystanders for information.

At least 18 individuals, including 11 who were found in a toy store, are thought to have perished. But as of last night, at than 40 people were still missing.

Family members have left notes at the attack scene in the central Ukrainian city of Kremenchuk and lists of the missing have been pinned up at a police station.

Elena Poliakova was one of many Comfy employees who were still unaccounted for as of last night.

Sofia Vinnik, a 21-year-old employee of Amstor, was a known worker.

On social media, other pleas were made for people, including as Anna Vovnenko, who was with her mother when the missiles struck.

Her mother is currently one of roughly 50 injured patients in a hospital. Another request stated that 44-year-old Alyona Velichko was going to meet a friend close to the mall.

It was estimated that up to 1,000 people were inside when it was struck.

The president of Ukraine, Volodymr Zelensky, criticized Russia’s activities yesterday, calling them “one of the most daring terrorist acts in European history.”

Ukraine has been charged by Russia with organizing the assault.
