Jeremy Clarkson breaks Amazon Prime Video viewing records

Following the release of its second series and Jeremy Clarkson’s plea to fans to watch it, the farming show hosted by the controversial motoring reporter has broken Amazon Prime Video viewing records.

According to audience research group Barb, the premiere of Clarkson’s Farm was watched by 4.3 million viewers, making it Amazon’s highest-rated show since the company started reporting viewing figures more than two years ago.

The show beat out popular series such as The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Love Island, and the Brit Awards. Despite controversial comments made by Clarkson in a newspaper article about Meghan Markle, the show continues to be a hit.

Clarkson had appealed to his fans to watch the latest series amid reports he had been axed from Amazon Prime for good.
