What is Saturday Night Live? More like Wednesday Night Live! (Sorry.) Jenna Ortega has been revealed as one of the March hosts for Saturday Night Live, with recent Super Bowl champion Travis Kelce.
On March 11, Ortega will perform at Studio 8H, with The 1975 serving as the evening’s musical guest. Ortega, who appears in the Netflix series Wednesday about the life of Wednesday Addams, will be hosting the show for the first time.
Travis Kelce, a tight end with the Kansas City Chiefs, will make his SNL debut on March 4. This evening’s musical guest will be country sensation Kelsea Ballerini. Although Kelce has never appeared on SNL before, he is no stranger to the NBC stage, having just performed his rendition of “(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party)” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
As he sat in the interview chair, he informed Fallon that hosting SNL is a lifelong ambition.
“I was a huge Chris Farley, Will Ferrell, and Jimmy Fallon fan when I was younger,” he remarked. It is a tremendous honor and privilege to host SNL on March 4th.
It is not uncommon for a Super Bowl champion to headline the show. Eli Manning and Tom Brady have hosted the show following their victories in recent years.
Also, it was already reported that Woody Harrelson will host the concert at the end of the month.
Harrelson will become a member of the Saturday Night Live Five-Club Timer’s when he hosts the show with musical guest Jack White on February 25.
Saturday Night Live airs on NBC every Saturday at 11:30 p.m. ET.
