Jake Dennis knows he needs to earn significant points at the Cape Town E-Prix

To stay in the running for the Formula E title, Jake Dennis knows he needs to earn significant points at the Cape Town E-Prix.

After not scoring any points in the Hyderabad E-Prix, he fell 18 points behind championship leader Pascal Wehrlein.

Though Dennis had been on his way to regaining the lead, he was pushed into the pits and out of contention.

The mishap allowed Wehrlein to move up to fourth and create a gap between himself and the other racers.

The Cape Town E-Prix marks the first-ever race in South Africa for Formula E.

The temporary track has a mix of fast-paced and high-speed corners, with few areas for drivers to break.
