The pair is reportedly in talks to portray Elvis Presley and his ex-wife Priscilla in a forthcoming film adaption of her memoir “Elvis and Me.”

Sofia Coppola, winner of an Academy Award for “Lost in Translation,” has signed on to direct and write the picture, which will be titled “Priscilla.”

Coppola will rejoin with long-time collaborators for the project, including production designer Tamara Deverell, costume designer Stacey Battat, editor Sarah Flack, and cinematographer Philippe Le Sourd. Filming is scheduled for this fall in Toronto, Canada.

In her 1985 memoir, which she co-wrote with Sandra Harmon, Priscilla described her marriage to the late rock and roll king.

Although most portrayals of the “Suspicious Minds” figure cast him in a more favourable light, the book provides a more frank portrait of him from her perspective.

The book explores their relationship from the time they first met, when Priscilla was 14 and he was 24, to their divorce years later.

It describes her perspective of their relationship, including rumors of infidelity on both sides, Elvis’ drug problems, and more.

Elordi, who has acted in films such as “Euphoria,” “The Kissing Booth” trilogy on Netflix, and “Deep Water,” is the second actor to portray Elvis in the past year, following Austin Butler, who played the character in Baz Luhrmann’s “Elvis” biographical drama.

Olivia DeJonge portrayed Priscilla in the film, while Spaney, famed for her appearances in “The First Lady,” “Mare of Easttown,” “On the Basis of Sex,” and “Bad Times at the El Royale,” was cast for this latest adaptation.
