Ivana Trump, the first wife of former US President Donald Trump, is dead

Ivana Trump, the first wife of former US President Donald Trump, died on Thursday, July 14, at the age of 73.

According to ABC News, Ivana Trump was found at the foot of a set of stairs at her Manhattan residence after officers responded to a report of a person in cardiac arrest.

Ivana and Donald Trump married in 1977, but divorced after having three children: Eric Trump, Donald Trump Jr., and Ivanka Trump.

Trump’s first wife, like her ex – partner, was a businesswoman. She was an entrepreneur, media personality, fashion designer, author, and former model of Czech descent.

During her marriage to Trump, Ivana worked as the Trump Organization’s vice president of interior design alongside him.

According to ABC News, she also oversaw the Plaza Hotel, one of the family’s most important holdings.

THE TRUMP FAMILY ANNOUNCES THE DEATH OF HIS FIRST WIFE

The Trump family issued a statement announcing her death, however the exact cause of death is still under investigation.

“It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Ivana Trump.

Our mother was an incredible woman — a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty, and caring mother and friend. Ivana Trump was a survivor.

She fled from communism and embraced this country. She taught her children about grit and toughness, compassion and determination. She will be dearly missed by her mother, her three children and ten grandchildren.”

Ivana married four times, the first time in 1971 to Alfred Winklmayr and the fourth time in 2008 to Rossano Rubicondi.
