In a bizarre attack in Bronx, a man snatches a woman and throws her down the subway rails

On Sunday, CCTV footage captures the frightening moment a guy throws a woman down subway lines in the Bronx.

Despite Mayor Eric Adams’ promises to crack down on crime, this is the latest in a series of attacks on the New York subway system.

In 2022, compared to 2021, there was a 57.5 percent increase in transit crime in New York.

After the unprovoked assault at Jackson Avenue station about 4:45 p.m., the man, who was seen wearing a backwards baseball cap and a white tank top, is still wanted by the NYPD.

The footage shows an unknown suspect approaching the 52-year-old woman from behind, grabbing her with both hands, and throwing her into the train tracks.

Fortunately, no train was arriving as the victim hit the platform and fell onto the tracks.

The woman, who had a broken collar bone and injuries all over her body, was promptly picked up by bystanders.

The victim was transported to Lincoln Hospital and is in stable condition, according to police. The suspect fled the scene.

According to a police complaint, a guy had his wrist cut and arteries severed in the Bronx subway last Wednesday after an argument over loud music.

A vicious thug drew a knife on a man in the subway at Atlantic Avenue just over a week ago following a ‘dispute,’ and stabbed him numerous times in the head and torso.

The 43-year-old victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition and is likely to recover fully, while the attacker, who was wearing a Supreme beanie, remains at large.

Daniel Enriquez, a Goldman Sachs employee, was fatally shot in the head on his way to Sunday brunch last month.

Andrew Abdullah, the assailant, had no motivation and shot him in broad daylight in front of other passengers before exiting the train at the next station.

He was on the run for days before he was apprehended with the assistance of a Brooklyn clergyman.

In April, despite being the city’s most sought man, subway shooter Frank James was on the run for two days.

While murders and shootings are down 9.9% and 7.9%, respectively, from last year, overall crime is up over 40% so far in 2022, according to NYPD data.

Robberies have increased by 40 percent, felony assaults have increased by 19 percent, and rapes have increased by 14.8%.

However, transit-related offenses have increased the most, by 57.5 percent, with 907 reported through May 22, 2022, compared to 576 reported at the same period previous year.

Yesterday, Mayor Adams lashed out at prosecutors and judges for letting suspected shooters loose, allowing them to open fire in New York, claiming that the “bad guys no longer take them seriously.”

Adams applauded cops for being “laser-focused on the shooters” and making arrests during a news conference with NYPD officials in Brooklyn, but demanded that “the other team must do their share.”

‘The courts are required to prosecute.’ Judges must ensure that they remain in,’ he explained.

‘Everyone must play a role. If not, they leave and return.’

Overall crimes have risen nearly 40 percent since last year, though murders and shooting incidents remain down
