Amir Khan Reveals Spending £1 Million on Lavish Wedding with 4,000 Guests
Former boxing champion and I’m A Celebrity star Amir Khan has revealed that he spent £1 million on his wedding in 2013 before inviting 4,000 people to a follow-up party, which he didn’t enjoy.
The wedding was held at New York’s famous Waldorf Astoria, and there were 300 guests in attendance.
The follow-up party was held in Bolton, where Amir lives, and included a host of sports stars and celebrities, as well as many members of his family.
In an upcoming episode of I’m A Celebrity, Amir will tell his fellow campmates that he was not in charge of the invitations, and the party was so massive that he didn’t get to enjoy it.
He compared it to a massive gala event and said that if he were to do it again, it would just be him and his wife.
The wedding was ten years ago, and at the time, Amir’s younger brother tweeted that it was an amazing night that he would never forget.
The couple announced their split in 2017 but reconciled a few months later.
