Ihhashi Elimhlophe and his wife, Linah Ngcobo, are both involved in the entertainment industry and have prepared the road for their children’s careers in the same field.
Ofuze, which is about a close-knit family negotiating their own particular trials of living in the spotlight, will demonstrate that not everything that glitters is gold. The series depicts the younger generation’s attempts to break free from the restraints and rules imposed by their parents.
Father of four, Nathi Ngcobo is the opinionated first-born son. He is eager to pursue a career outside of the family business.
Ntombee Mzolo, the first-born daughter, is an actress and television host; her function in the family is that of a mediator. Since losing two of her children, she has been facing her own demons as a mother and wife.
Jabu, the third-born, is a father with commitment concerns, much to the consternation of his traditional parents. He desires to leave home but refuses to marry, which is a requirement set on all Ngcobo youngsters who desire their own space.
