IGP presents N84.5 million cheques to families of fallen policemen in Zamfara

The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, through the Police Family Welfare Insurance Scheme, has presented N84.5 million cheques to 34 dependents of policemen who died in active service in Zamfara.

The cheques were presented by the acting Commissioner of Police, Ali Dabigi, on behalf of the IGP.

The Police chief stated that the funds provided by the insurance scheme would bring succour to the families of the deceased officers.

Assisting Families of Officers and Men

Baba added that the insurance scheme has been helping families of officers and men of the force, particularly those who died in active service.

The IGP commiserated with the relations and advised the beneficiaries to ensure they make judicious use of the money.

Hajia Fatima Muhammad, who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries, expressed appreciation to the IGP and the Zamfara Police command for making their families happy during the holy month of Ramadan.

She further assured that the beneficiaries would make good use of the money.
