Ice-cream staple Choco Taco is set to be discontinued due to a surge in demand

As the company reports a “spike in demand” in its portfolio, fans of the cherished Klondike Chaco Taco are in disbelief after the company announces it is discontinuing the childhood treat.

Are you sure, @Klondikebar? On Twitter, Andrew Bradley posted. “Choco Taco has been withdrawn?” If so, reverse it.

Unfortunately, the Choco Taco has been discontinued in both 1ct and 4ct packs, Klondike retorted.

We’d love for you to try some of our other delectable frozen treats, like Klondike Cones, Shakes, Sandwiches, and of course, our famous Bar, which is offered all over the country.

There are bad decisions, like getting a face tattoo or french kissing an alligator, and then there are horrifically bad, inexcusable decisions, like discontinuing the Choco Taco, Marcm717 added to the fire.

In response to the outrage, Klondike stated that it was “particularly painful.”

We are particularly hurt because Choco Taco is a huge fan favourite and a top seller for our out-of-home business.

In the upcoming years, we’re working hard to figure out how to bring Choco Taco back to ice cream trucks.

Unilever-owned Klondike recently celebrated its 100th year of serving cones, shakes, and other cold treats since its founding in 1922.

A popular treat that has been available for almost 40 years is the choco taco.

Vanilla ice cream with fudge swirls is placed inside the waffle-shaped cone that resembles a taco shell. A hard, peanut-infused chocolate shell tops off the cold treat.

The business attributed the choice to the change in demand during the previous two years.

In order to guarantee the availability of our whole portfolio, Klondike added, “We have encountered an extraordinary rise in demand across our portfolio and have had to make extremely severe decisions.”

We sometimes have to discontinue products, which is a sad but necessary part of this process. We’re so sorry!

Alexis Ohanian, a co-founder of Reddit, urged the business to buy the rights to a childhood favourite dessert in an effort to save the summer pleasure.

‘Hello @Unilever, Ohanian posted on Twitter, “I’d like to purchase the rights to your Choco Taco and prevent it from melting away from future generations.”

Chris Murphy, a Democrat, made fun of conserving the cherished treat in a tweet to his Twitter followers.

The Defense Production Act will be used to mandate that Choco Tacos continue to be manufactured, Murphy noted in his statement. Call your senator and ask them to co-sponsor, please.
