Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle are in a bind after the public and UK media celebrity Piers Morgan called them out on their racist allegations against the Royal Family.
In an interview with ITV’s Tom Bradby over the weekend, the red-haired royal reaffirmed the couple’s position on the explosive assertions they made in a 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Meghan stated in the letter that members of the royal family were “worried” about Archie’s skin color. In addition, she reported that “several talks” had a racial undertone.

In one portion of the conversation, Meghan made a stunning charge concerning the Royal Family’s reaction to Harry and Meghan’s unborn children.
In reference to Archie, she told Oprah, “During the months I was pregnant, we had chats about how he won’t be given security, he won’t be given a title, and how dark his complexion may be when he is born.”
“What?” interjected Oprah. “With whom are you conversing?”
Meghan said that she had “many chats” with Prince Harry, to which Oprah added, “about how dark your child will be?”
Meghan added, “Potentially, as well as what that would imply and entail.”

However, over two years later, Harry’s tune has changed.
When Tom Bradby tells Prince Harry that he accused the Royal Family of racism, Prince Harry responds with a witty, “No. Correct, the British press reported this. Did Meghan ever say, “They are racists?”
Bradby responded, “She stated that there were disturbing remarks made concerning Archie’s racial color. Wouldn’t you characterize that as fundamentally racist?”
Harry continued, “The distinction between racism and unconscious bias is distinct. Once your unconscious bias has been identified or brought out to you as an individual or organization, you have the opportunity to learn and grow from that… Unless unconscious bias is eliminated, it becomes racism.

PIERS MORGAN WEIGHS IN
Piers Morgan reacted to the turnaround of the royal couple in a series of tweets.
He posted the following regarding Meghan and Harry:
“I was terminated from my position at GMB because I did not believe Meghan Markle’s assertions to Oprah that the Royals were racist and that Palace authorities denied her permission to seek therapy for suicidal concerns. In Harry’s book, neither of these statements are repeated. The case is closed”
“Anyone of whatever skin tone understands what Meghan Markle said to Oprah about racism in the Royal Family. We heard her say it ourselves…
“Given that they have now stated that there was no racism, will they return this prize and apologize for so disgracefully maligning the Royal Family?”
“I recall getting fired from GMB for not believing Harry and Meghan’s unfounded charges of racism against the Royal Family. Now that he has recognized there was no racism, I have two questions: a) Can I return to my prior job? Why should we believe anything they say?
