Hillary Clinton is criticised online for joining the Finnish PM’s partying controversy

For interjecting herself into the continuing partying issue involving Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton received criticism online.

The 36-year-old Finnish prime minister has come under criticism recently after a number of recordings showing her drinking and dancing with her pals while in office were released.

Since then, she has been charged with using narcotics at these celebrations, and soon after the recordings surfaced, one of Marin’s companions uploaded a photo of herself kissing a friend who was only partially clothed while standing topless in the prime minister’s official mansion, Kesäranta.

However, on Sunday, Clinton made the decision to defend Marin, uploading a picture of herself dancing at a packed club in Cartagena, Colombia, in 2012, while she was the secretary of state.

In a tweet accompanying the image, Clinton wrote: “As Ann Richards observed, “Everything that Fred Astaire accomplished, Ginger Rogers also did. She just performed it in high heels and backwards.”

As Secretary of State, I was in Cartagena for a meeting. This is me there.

@marinsanna, continue dancing.

However, soon after, Finns flocked to Twitter to inform the former presidential contender that they did not want to hear her “two cents” on the subject, which they claimed she is unaware about.

As Richard Nyberg put it, “It’s not about the fact that she’s dancing, Hillary.”

Apparently you don’t have any information, and by presuming arrogantly that this problem required your opinion, you really made things worse for her in Finland.

“It did not,”

Rivu Auvinen said that Hillary seemed to not have received a full explanation of the matter. Or she prefers to party and drink to fulfil her PM obligations.

Not to mention the energy and healthcare crises Marin’s cabinet has brought about, not to mention the state department’s worrying growth.

Hugo Fitlund questioned whether Clinton would approve of the photographs taken at the Prime Minister’s residence if she were in office, and Paula Hilutnen told the former secretary of state that “it’s extremely embarrassing to “support” by dancing, when you obviously don’t know where the criticism is.”

Fitlund tweeted, “It is not about dance, sex, or age. “It’s about decency and what’s right and wrong,”

Furthermore, Riku Ranta said that the “global left really succeeded in portraying this as a sexism plot,” stating that he is worried “about right work attitude as head of state during these difficult times” and pointing out that Marin parties four out of seven days every week.

They’re ignoring the elephant in the room and concentrating on the bit that nobody cares about, said another Twitter user in reference to the fact that Marin was seen partying with someone other than her spouse.

Another individual said that because Hillary uploaded the picture after making her retirement announcement, “everyone viewed it as an obvious PR ploy for a 2016 run.”

The former secretary of state has now joined the group of female politicians who have posted films and pictures of themselves having a good time to show their support for Marin.

Fiona Patten, an Australian politician, posted a video of herself dancing on Twitter and stated, “If letting off steam at a party is the worst thing your prime minister has done, then you’re a very blessed nation.”

Iratxe Garca Pérez, a lawmaker in Spain, tweeted: “How surprising!!! Young politician who works hard and prioritises her personal life… Why can’t a young lady enjoy herself? I detest using gendered standards.

However, detractors claim that the freshly disclosed recordings depict unacceptable conduct for a head of state.

In one video, Marin is seen dancing and having a good time with friends and famous people at a rooftop nightclub in the heart of Helsinki. In another, Marin is seen dancing provocatively with 33-year-old Finnish social media star Sabina Särkkä.

In the aftermath, Marin expressed her belief that sometimes having fun is crucial to her fellow Social Democratic party members.

“I’m a person. In the midst of these dark clouds, I too occasionally yearn for happiness, light, and fun,” Marin said in a tearful speech. The speaker said, “I haven’t missed a single day of work.”

However, she experienced more backlash after a picture of Marin’s friend Särkkä, 33, kissing her buddy at the prime minister’s official mansion in Kesäranta while posing topless, came to light.

After spending the evening in Kesäranta’s official mansion with Marin and other famous friends, Särkkä shared the picture on TikTok.

The picture was shot on July 10 after the group attended a rock concert, and it showed the gorgeous Finnish blonde pulling up her clothes as she kissed her companion.

Särkkä, who was wearing a cowboy hat, denim shorts, and a leather jacket, covered her chest in the photograph by placing her hand over it while her companion covered hers by holding a sign that said “FINLAND,” which is often on Marin’s desk.

Marin apologised once again.

President Barack Obama appointed Clinton, 74, to lead the State Department from 2009 to 2013.

She ran as the Democratic presidential nominee in 2016. Despite being strongly favoured, Hillary suffered a surprising upset loss to real estate mogul Donald Trump.
