Hillary Clinton branded Trump supporters Nazis for honouring Obama in Ohio

At a recent raucous campaign event in Ohio, hundreds of Trump fans lifted their index fingers in the air while’saluting’ the former President, prompting the former first lady Hillary Clinton to equate them to Nazis.

Clinton denounced the frightening hand motion performed by many Trump fans at a September 17 rally Trump attended for GOP Senate candidate J.D. Vance while she was in Austin for the Texas Tribune Festival.

The one-finger salute strangely resembled the Nazis’ “Seig Heil” sign of respect for their leader Adolf Hitler.

You watched the event in Ohio the other night, when Trump was shouting for more than an hour, and there were rows of young guys standing with their arms up, she continued. I questioned, “What is happening?”

The contentious one-figure salute, which has also been connected to the QAnon conspiracy theory, worried rally organisers in the meantime.

However, one Trump fan in the audience raised his stiff arm in the air in the one-finger salute and claimed that the gesture was a QAnon movement adage that read: “Where We Go One, We Go All,” according to Yahoo News.

The former presidential candidate spoke about her experience as a young student attempting to understand why people fell under Adolph Hitler’s spell.

How did it happen, Clinton questioned at the policy and politics event? When I watched newsreels, I would see this man yelling and lifting his arms while he was standing there. What has happened to these folks, I wondered?

Six million Jews and other people were horribly murdered and persecuted during the Holocaust thanks to Austrian-German leader Adolf Hitler, who came to power between 1933 and 1945.

Hitler was said to be “the personification of contemporary political evil” by historian and biographer Ian Kershaw in his 2000 book “Hitler: 1936-45: Nemisis.”

Trump addressed the audience during the gathering while dramatic music played.

“My fellow compatriots, this amazing trip we are on together has just started, and it is time to start talking about greatness for our nation once again,” Trump said, “We are one movement, one people, one family, and one mighty American country.”

Trump’s spokesperson referred to the Qanon rumour as a “dopey conspiracy.”

According to spokesperson Taylor Budowich, “like usual, the media is collaborating with the Democrats weeks before an election.”

The most notable time was during the campaign when Clinton referred to the billionaire and his followers as a “basket of deplorables.”
