Late Late Show Denies One Direction Reunion Rumors, Breaking Fans’ Hearts

Fans of the British-Irish boy band One Direction were left heartbroken when the Late Late Show confirmed that rumors of a reunion on the show were not true.

Speculation had been rife that former band members Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Nile Wilson, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik would reunite on the show to mark James Corden’s last ever hosting gig.

However, show bosses took to Twitter to dispel the rumors, saying, “Nobody loves the boys more than us… but this story just isn’t true.”

Despite the disappointment, the show’s bosses have promised an “absolutely brilliant 2-hour finale” to celebrate eight years of the Late Late Show, which will air on April 27th.

Fans’ Heartbreak

Many One Direction fans took to social media to express their sadness at the news.

However, the show’s lineup for its final weeks is star-studded, with Tom Cruise, Ben Affleck, Mila Kunis, Seth Meyers, Kate Hudson, Bryan Cranston, Billy Porter, and Sharon Stone among the stars joining James Corden.

Singer Adele will also make an appearance in Corden’s last Carpool Karaoke segment.

James Corden’s Emotional Farewell

James Corden has hosted the Late Late Show on CBS since 2015, and he will retire from his hosting gig on April 27th.

He described his planned departure as “terrifying,” saying, “Who walks away from such a thing?”

However, he assured fans that he has an “absolutely brilliant” 2-hour finale planned to celebrate eight years of the Late Late Show.

Corden’s Carpool Karaoke segment has become a popular staple of the show, with celebrities like Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, and even former First Lady Michelle Obama joining him in the passenger seat.
