Christmas may be approaching, but for Grimes, Halloween is never truly over.
The “Genesis” singer revealed her Halloween costume in a series of images on Sunday, posing entirely naked while clutching a sword. The celebrity, who has two young children with Elon Musk, could not possibly go trick-or-treating in such a revealing outfit.
“I never posted my Halloween costume… MALENIA, BLADE OF MIQUELLA,” she captioned the photographs of her outfit, which was inspired by the “Elden Ring” video game character known as the Goddess of Rot.
Grimes’ costume, which included bright orange hair and the character’s iconic wing-shaped helmet, displayed a number of her numerous tattoos.
In addition to black ink tattoos inspired by planets, chains, “The Legend of Zelda,” and more, the “Oblivion” composer has a number of elaborate artwork inspired by alien scars.
She revealed in September that she was “very seriously considering having a white ink tattoo on [her] face,” adding, “The moment feels right.”
Even though she was a little late in posting her Halloween costume, her friends and admirers nonetheless praised her minimal costume.
In the comments section of her post, Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian posted fire emojis, while fellow musician Lights remarked, “Br8k the internet!!!!”
One person joked, “Grimes, the rest of the costume isn’t loading.” The actress hid her nipples on only two of the three photographs, prompting a warning from another user: “This won’t last long.”
While Instagram may remove Grimes’ post, we expect the images to remain on Twitter, as Musk is the new owner of the platform.
