Gil Holzman,Eco Atlantic Founder to Join in the Discussions at African Energy Week 2022

The African Energy Chamber (AEC), the voice of Africa’s energy sector, is pleased to announce that Gil Holzman, Founder and CEO of Canadian-based oil and gas exploration company Eco Atlantic, will join African and international energy market stakeholders in Cape Town for African Energy Week (AEW) (AECWeek.com), Africa’s premier event for the oil and gas sector, which will take place from October 18 to 21, 2022, to discuss the future of Africa’s hydrocarbon resources and agribusiness.

Gil Holzman’s presence at Africa’s top investment forum for the oil and gas sector is critical in setting the conversation about how Africa can speed up exploration, expand portfolios of hydrocarbon reserves, and boost production to meet its energy demands.

Over 600 million people live in energy poverty on the African continent, with over 900 million lacking access to clean cooking. Despite the fact that an estimated 125.3 billion barrels of crude oil and 620 trillion cubic feet of gas reserves remain untapped, companies like Eco Atlantic and their exploration and production services are critical to addressing energy poverty and ensuring economic stability on the continent.

Eco Atlantic, led by Gil Holzman, is exploring for oil and gas in rising markets such as Namibia and South Africa with its key partners Africa Oil Corp, the Namibian National Petroleum Corporation, TotalEnergies, JH Associates, and Tullow Oil.

Gil Holzman, who has over 20 years of expertise in the mining and energy industries, will lead discussions on the commercial, policy, and investment requirements for Africa to boost upstream activity. He’ll also speak at panel discussions and high-level meetings about Eco Atlantic’s work offshore South Africa and Namibia, as well as the company’s growth goals, in order to improve Africa’s energy productivity.

With a Business Management and Finance background, Gil Holzman’s participation at AEW 2022 is critical in shaping dialogue around how Africa can attract and manage investment and develop innovative and investor-friendly business models to boost its oil and gas sector.

“The significance of independents like Eco Atlantic in expanding the African oil and gas sector continues to be unearthed. The Chamber strongly supports Eco Atlantic’s vision of exploring emerging markets. This is what will get Africa out of energy poverty by 2030,” state NJ Ayuk, the Executive Chairman of the African Energy Chamber.

Under the theme, “Exploring and Investing in Africa’s Energy Future while Driving an Enabling Environment,” AEW 2022 will host Gil Holzman in various forums to discuss Africa’s current oil and gas market challenges, solutions and the continent’s energy future.
