Gambia’s President Barrow Appoints Mr Ousman A. Bah as Minister of Communication and Digital Economy

His Excellency President Adama Barrow has appointed Mr Ousman A. Bah as Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, effective Friday, June 24, 2022, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Sections 71(1) and 71(3) of the Constitution of the Republic of The Gambia.

Mr. Bah was the Chief Executive Officer of the Indian Institute of Hardware Technology (IIHT) Gambia Limited prior to his appointment.

Mr. Bah has over 20 years of executive-level corporate experience in the telecommunications and fin-tech industries.

He rose through the ranks to become Division Executive Leader of Heartland Payment Systems, Managing Director of Pure Energies, and Vice President of Bank of America Small Business.

Mr. Bah has a BSc in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix, an MSc in Systems and Networking Management from Golden Gate University of California, and an MBA in Business Administration.
