On September 24th, Bafana Bafana will play against Sierra Leone, and on September 27th, they will play Botswana. Both games are scheduled to start at 15:30 at FNB Stadium.

Hugo Broos, South Africa’s head coach, has once again called attention to certain organisational issues that prevented the national team from presumably practising at Dobsonville Stadium on Monday.

“I didn’t know we couldn’t train on the pitch today (Monday). If you ask me where are we going to train, I can’t answer you because we didn’t do it [mess up the arrangements wrong],” Broos said as SA held a press conference at Dobsonville Stadium on Monday.

TimesLIVE also claims that certain authorities failed to reserve the space as they were supposed to, although Safa CEO Tebogo Motlanthe subsequently refuted this claim amid conflicting accounts.

Bertie Grobbelaar, managing director of SMSA, said that the stadium was not yet ready and that Safa had not scheduled a training session there on Monday.

Cedomir Janevski, an assistant coach with the Bafana Bafana team, was announced to have quit on Saturday.

Janevski came in South Africa last year as one of Hugo Broos’ two assistant coaches for the Bafana, but he is about to depart that position to return to Europe as the head coach of Cypriot club AEL Limassol.

After talking with Bafana coach Hugo Broos, according to Motlanthe, they decided to fire Janevski.
