Former Spandau Ballet singer Ross William Wild charged with rape and sexual assault

Ross William Wild, a former member of Spandau Ballet, has appeared in court on rape and sexual assault charges.

The Scottish man, 34, is accused of video himself sexually assaulting six separate women while he was fast asleep. He was also accused of raping a seventh lady, extorting money from her, and showing her a private sexual image.

After the Crown Prosecution Service authorized police to charge him earlier this week, he was apprehended on Thursday at his parents’ house in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Wild entered the pier with two security guards and was dressed in a simple black t-shirt with his dark hair pulled to the side.

He sobbed when his attorney, Chris Toms, declared in front of the court that he is a “professional musical performer.”

Mr. Toms did not enter a formal defense on behalf of Wild, but he did state: ‘That is firmly denied.  He wants his day in court.’

The 34-year-old is kept in custody pending his June 22 appearance at London’s Wood Green Crown Court.
