A new convert Christian has faced backlash after putting aside her Bible to join OnlyFans.
Andressa Urach posted to her 2.9 million Instagram followers earlier this week, “Brazil, I’ve arrived on OnlyFans, I’m waiting for you there.”
On the adult content platform, she charges subscribers £41 per month.
The tattooed former Miss Bumbum contestant used to work in the sex industry but quit to devote herself to her religion.
The 35-year-old revealed in 2016 that she had joined the divisive Universal Church of the Kingdom of God.
After joining she traded skimpy outfits for preaching but has since said she grew disillusioned with the church, telling how it left her feeling “deceived” and “used”.
Andressa faced backlash from her Christian followers in February 2021 after announcing plans to compete in the infamous beauty pageant Miss Bumbum.
She then made headlines in September of that year when she announced she was returning to sex work despite being pregnant.
On February 15, she announced her OnlyFans account, along with a photo of herself in a bikini posing on a boat.
“I can’t be happy with Andressa’s return to this world,” netizen ‘alifeformariaj’ said. In fact, I was relieved that she had left an abusive relationship.
“However, for those who have followed everything she has gone through and realise that she is returning to what has already hurt her, do not hope to see her on this path.
“Take care, Dessa. Find your inner peace.”
“You have your own business, you have a YouTube channel, you’ve just created a cosmetics brand outside of your work as a model,” social media user Amanda Alves wrote. It’s not a lack of funds.
“Wouldn’t it be better to reduce your standard of living slightly rather than subject yourself to this?”
