FIVE quality players Kaizer Chiefs should try sign from Sundowns

There are no ifs and buts about it, Kaizer Chiefs need to sign top players in the coming transfer window.

Why? The Glamour Boys have a big status to reclaim: ‘Mzansi’s power club.’ One of the sure ways to acquire proven quality is by signing from your rivals.

We’ve thus had a look at Sundowns where Amakhosi could snatch top-quality players who are most likely not happy with the limited amount of game-time they receive at Ka Bo Yellow.

WHY THESE SUNDOWNS PLAYERS COULD BE AVAILABLE FOR KAIZER CHIEFS

Sundowns are enjoying a spell as one of the best clubs in Africa at the moment. Their players are some of the best in the nation, you just have look at the Bafana Bafana squad.

However, not every player will be happy in a squad. Reasons may vary from a failure to get on with the coaching staff or the most influential reason: a lack of opportunities to play.

Footballers are paid to play matches, not just train. This is where Amakhosi could come in to capitalise.

But how can it all happen? The transfers could take place via free deals (if one of the players terminates their contract), if a player gets transfer-listed, or even if Amakhosi surprisingly open the chequebook to buy.

So with around three months left before the July transfer window, will one or two of these top-quality players make headline moves to Kaizer Chiefs?

It may be unlikely now but this game is full of surprises. Just like when Khama Billiat, Ramahle Mphahlele, Katlego Mphela, and Leonardo Castro made their moves to Soweto.
