Kaizer Chiefs: Amakhosi can still sign THREE players

The transfer window has officially closed, but Kaizer Chiefs are not quite finished with their business. In fact, they still have the opportunity to sign Andile Jali and two additional players…

Amakhosi can still sign a number of players on pre-contract or as free agents.

In other words, Amakhosi can still sign players until June, including Jali.

According to Goal, Jali has less than six months remaining on his current Mamelodi Sundowns contract.

Therefore, he has the option to sign a pre-contract with Amakhosi. Rhulani Mokwena continues to view Jali as an indispensable member of his team, hence he is unlikely to release him.

Andile Jali Hugo Broos Hugo Broos has explained why he omitted the in-form Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Andile Jali from his Bafana

In spite of this, Mokwena has not yet extended Jali’s contract. Therefore, proposals from Amakhosi and Orlando Pirates are still possible (if they wish).

Stellenbosch FC presently has two of Amakhosi’s transfer targets on its roster. The Glamour Boys elite are interested in both Sibongiseni Mthethwa and Junior Mendieta. In addition, they require a defensive midfielder to replace the void left by Njabulo Blom.

The Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly considering hiring a new striker coach.

In the most recent transfer window, Amakhosi came close to acquiring Mthethwa via a cash-plus-players deal. However, they fell short due to Stellies management’s refusal to trade its best players in order to escape relegation.

“Nothing seems to be occurring at the moment. A relevant source confirmed on Phakaaati that it sounded like they would be able to trade Mendieta for one of the players and money.

Therefore, between now and June, Amakhosi might sign Jali, Mthethwa, or Mendieta to a pre-contract.

If any of these scenarios happen, the signed star will arrive to Naturena in June.
