Five men in their 20s suffer gunshot and knife injuries after a 3.30am attack in Wandsworth

After a shotgun attack in South London last night, a man is fighting for his life.

After a 3.30 a.m. incident in Wandsworth, five males in their twenties were shot and knifed.
It comes after a teenager was stabbed to death in Tottenham, making her the sixth person in London to be stabbed in the last 24 hours.

The inquiry is being led by Trident detectives from the Specialist Crime Command, who are collaborating closely with their colleagues from the Central South Command Unit.

‘The inquiry into this incident and what occurred is in its early stages,’ said Detective Sergeant Matt Doohan, who is conducting the probe.

‘This occurrence occurred in the extremely early hours of Saturday morning, when the general population was most likely sleeping.’

However, we need the support and assistance of our communities to bring those who are willing to put others in danger by using firearms and knives on London’s streets to justice, as well as to assist us in preventing other injuries in similar circumstances.

‘If you don’t want to talk to the cops and want to remain entirely anonymous, please call the Crimestoppers organisation.’

There have been no arrests, and the investigation is still ongoing.
