A kidnapper in a black SUV abducted Eliza Fletcher, a 34-year-old junior kindergarten teacher, near the University of Memphis.

Fletcher’s last moments before her abduction were recorded on chilling security tape, along with a blurry view of the automobile that snatched her.

During the incident, Fletcher’s phone was thrown to the ground and destroyed. Fletcher was a fitness enthusiast who often jogged the same route.

Police subsequently recovered it and are currently investigating the mysterious disappearance.

The FBI and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation are now investigating.

According to a report from Action News 5, law enforcement authorities were sent to the location around 7:45 a.m., where they discovered Fletcher’s water gun and damaged mobile phone in front of a nearby residence.

After a scuffle, Fletcher was approached by an unknown guy and pushed into a black SUV.

Friday morning, Fletcher walked from her residence near the main campus of the University of Memphis to the location where she was abducted, close to the University of Memphis.

When she did not come home a few hours later, she was reported missing.

According to police, Fletcher, a mother of two, is an ardent runner who often jogs in the neighborhood. She teaches pre-kindergarten at St. Mary’s Episcopal School, and she and her husband are members of the East Memphis Second Presbyterian Church.

Students were were informed via letter on Friday that a teacher had been abducted.

We have not shared information about Mrs. Fletcher with our younger pupils. According to Fox News, a letter from school principal Albert Throckmorton said, “We are supporting the older children as they absorb this news.”

Authorities have not yet identified a possible motivation or whether they think Fletcher was stolen by an opportunistic predator or by someone who had researched the young mother’s regular jogging path.

Police have determined that the culprit is male, but no suspects have yet been identified.
