On March 16th in the afternoon, a fire broke out at the FSB Border Control Department in Rostov-on-Don.

The cause of the fire was due to the ignition of wiring, which then spread to containers holding fuel and lubricants, causing explosions.

The fire started on the second floor of the two-story brick building, and quickly engulfed an area of 800 square meters.

Despite employees’ efforts to put out the fire, it continued to spread.

All people were evacuated from the building, and as many as 20 fire-fighting teams are currently involved in the operation to extinguish the flames.

The fire caused two walls to collapse, and Governor of the Rostov region, Vasily Golubev, wrote on Telegram that the fire had caused explosions of containers with fuel and lubricants.

Unfortunately, one person was injured in the fire and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Investigations are still ongoing to determine the extent of the damage caused by the fire.
