Fire engulfs Grand Setun Plaza business center in Moscow

On June 3rd, a massive fire broke out in the Grand Setun Plaza business center in Moscow’s west. The fire initially devoured the building’s exterior near the main entrance before moving further up.

It was reported that up to 20 people may have remained inside. For the time being, no information on suspected fire casualties is available. The fire spread swiftly and was classified as a five-alarm fire.

Arson may have been the cause of the fire. According to another account, the fire began as a result of a short circuit caused by improper lighting installation on the building’s facade.

Sergei Zheltov, the head of the Moscow EMERCOM, was hospitalized following the operation to extinguish the fire at the Grand Setun Plaza business center in Moscow, according to TASS.

With an extensive infarction, Zheltov was rushed to the hospital. The official was also said to be showing signs of carbon monoxide poisoning.
