Final Destination 6 is directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein

Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein will direct the sixth installment of the Final Destination franchise.

Over a decade after the release of the fifth film in the horror franchise, the filmmaking partnership has been selected to helm the relaunch of the brand.

Craig Perry is returning to co-produce the upcoming episode with Sheila Hanahan Taylor.

Jon Watts, the director of the “Spider-Man” films starring Tom Holland, devised the project’s story, while Guy Bisick and Lori Evans wrote the narrative.

The fundamental premise of the “Final Destination” series stays the same – a character has a premonition of a fatal event and is able to save countless lives, only to have the unstoppable force of death kill the survivors one by one in odd circumstances.

According to sources, the search for a new director consumed the most of the year, as numerous filmmakers were interested in the project.

One source stated, “It was uncommon for something substantial to be ready for a reboot.”

According to sources, Lipovsky and Stein dazzled studio executives with their ideas and enthusiasm for the “Final Destination” franchise, and an amazing Zoom call sealed the sale.

The original “Final Destination” film was directed by James Wong and released in 2000. The popularity prompted four sequels in addition to a novel and comic book series.

Tony Todd, who portrayed William Bludworth in the films, previously stated that the crash scenes would make a sixth “Final Destination” film prohibitively expensive to produce.

The 67-year-old celebrity stated, “I’m (surprised), but I understand why there hasn’t been any” (another sequel). It is quite expensive to produce this picture. Just getting the accident set pieces, such as part two’s entire traffic collision, which took five weeks and at least $20 million to film, was the primary focus.
