An official Ferrari Grand Prix driver’s simulator, once utilized by the legendary Michael Schumacher, is set to make a public appearance at a renowned antique dealers’ fair.
This simulator holds historical significance as it played a pivotal role in preparing Ferrari drivers for the challenges of various circuits during the 2006 Formula One season, which also marked Schumacher’s final season with the team.

Michael Schumacher, a seven-time World Drivers’ Championship titleholder (a record he shares with Sir Lewis Hamilton), made his mark on Formula One racing.
Upon his retirement from the sport in 2012, he held records for the highest number of wins, pole positions, and podium finishes.
Now, this remarkable F1 memorabilia is set to take center stage at Timeless, the renowned Irish Antique Dealers’ Fair, scheduled to return to Dublin’s RDS on September 15.

Antiques dealer Niall Mullen, the custodian of this iconic piece, is excited to offer Grand Prix enthusiasts a rare opportunity to get up close to this piece of F1 history.
This simulator, originally costing over 60,000 euros, boasts a force-feedback steering wheel and houses the F1 circuits from the 2006 season, along with various international tracks used for testing.

While this piece will eventually be part of a celebrity item auction, Mullen believes in giving the public a chance to witness it amid a collection of timeless classics.
Ireland’s largest selection of classic pieces will be on display at the fair, offering a rich tapestry of historical artifacts that stand the test of time.

Aside from the Ferrari simulator, the fair will showcase other remarkable items.
One standout piece is the rare first edition Memphis Milano Carlton bookcase, famously favored by the legendary David Bowie.
Acquired, the curator of this unique item, is presenting the Carlton bookcase for the first time in Ireland, with a value of 17,000 euros.
These bookcases were cherished by rock and fashion icons like Bowie and Karl Lagerfeld.
A Journey Through Time
Adding to the allure of the fair is a 400-year-old diamond ring that once traversed the Silk Road.
Valued at 3,950 euros, this English-crafted ring predates the era of mining, and its stones bear the marks of being weathered by the earth rather than cut.
The diamonds’ journey to England followed the ancient Silk Road trade route, as established shipping routes were nonexistent at the time.
Preserving the Past for the Future
Garret Weldon, president of the Irish Antique Dealers’ Association, emphasizes the uniqueness and magic of each piece on display at Timeless.
