Federal University of Lafia (FULAFIA) Postgraduate Admission Form for 2021/2022 Academic Session

The Federal University of Lafia has begun selling application forms for admission into its PGD, M.A/M.Sc, and M.Phil/Ph.D programmes for the 2021/2022 Academic Session into the following Faculties:

1. Faculty of Arts
2. Faculty of Science
3. Faculty of Social Sciences

FULAFIA Postgraduate Admission Requirements

1. Postgraduate Diploma

• The candidate must meet the University’s matriculation criteria.
• FULafia or any other accredited university graduate with at least an Honours degree.
• Holders of a Higher National Diploma (HND) in related fields with at least an upper credit pass.
• Holders of a Higher National Diploma (E TD) with lower credit in relevant fields and at least five years of post-qualification experience.
• Candidates with a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Horticulture and Nursery Management or other relevant fields from a University-recognized institution (Botany).
• Holders of any additional credentials, with or without relevant experience, that are acceptable to FULafia’s Board and Senate.

2. M.Sc. /M.A. Programmes

• M.Sc./M.A. candidates must have five credit passes in relevant subjects.
• Candidates must also have a Bachelor’s degree (BSC/B.A.) in relevant courses from a recognised university, with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division and a CGPA of 3.0 (2.50 or 50% in History and International Studies).

3. M.Phil./PhD Programmes

• Candidates must have an excellent Master’s degree in the appropriate discipline from a recognised university, with a CGPA of not less than 3.5 on a five (5) point scale or a score average of 55%.

4. Professional Degrees:

• Candidates with relevant experience in the applicable discipline may be considered for admission.

Note: Candidates is required to pass a qualification examination.
