Facebook blasts dashcam driver for driving towards kids and yelling.

A motorist was chastised on Facebook after sharing a dashcam video of himself racing up towards a family with small children and yelling foul-mouthed insults at them.

An angry driver beeped his horn and shouted abuse at people, including children crossing the road, while capturing the whole incident on his dashcamTwo children crossing are forced to stop walking and start running to avoid being hit, while a woman stared at the driver in disbelief at what he was doing

The fact that his own kid is in the vehicle with him while he assaults the other family, whose children fled in fear of their lives, exacerbates the problem.

They pass a bright yellow traffic sign with an image of people crossing the road and a very visible label stating ‘Refuge Island’ within seconds.

A second later, a family with small children is seen crossing the road approximately 50 meters ahead, but instead of slowing down, he seems to accelerate while yelling at them. ‘It’s not a f***ing cross,’ the motorist adds, blasting his horn for many seconds.

Two toddlers crossing the street are forced to stop walking and flee to escape being struck, as a mother looks at the driver in bewilderment at what he is doing.

He eventually slows down, but yells at the family, ‘Not a pedestrian crossing, you don’t have right of way,’ as he goes past the folks he almost struck.

Aside from the video, the website hosting it asked: ‘You observe children crossing the road ahead.’ Do you A. scream your horn at them, or B. slow down and let them cross?’ The post rapidly received over 800 responses, with the majority of them condemning the driver’s actions.

‘Considering you could see people crossing the road ahead even while still on the roundabout, you proceeded to race towards them at increasing speed only to suddenly have to apply the brakes… to make a point,’ one commented, eloquently summarizing the situation.

‘Regardless of whether they have right of way or not. They are easily seen crossing five seconds before he blows his horn!

‘If he had simply slowed down for a few of seconds, they would have been over the road and he could have gone about his business,’ another claimed.

‘That is an appropriate pedestrian crossing.’ ‘There’s even a yellow sign,’ another poster noted. Many individuals felt the driver should have been more cautious since he was carrying a youngster.

‘Excellent example provided to his own child in the vehicle. ‘Good luck when it comes to teaching them to drive,’ one person added.

Others said that was not an unique incidence, but rather a widespread issue.

‘The impatience of drivers in this nation is astounding!! It’s not just a handful, but the vast majority! ‘What is their problem?’ one individual inquired.

Some, like the driver in the video, used foul words to show their displeasure with him.

‘Dash cam driver is an all-in-one tool. It took him five seconds to slow down; instead, he pulls up to and blasts his horn like a knob,’ one added. However, there was considerable sympathy for the motorist, with others blaming those crossing the street.

‘There is no repairing dumb, and the pedestrians were really foolish,’ one spectator observed.
