Facebook and Instagram banned ‘toxic influencer’ Andrew Tate for ‘violating policies’

The 35-year-old ‘toxic influencer’ Andrew Tate has been banned from Facebook and Instagram for posting misogynistic content.

The owner of the two social media networks, Meta, stated that the controversial influencer had breached its terms of service. The former Big Brother contestant amassed a fortune in the millions of pounds by publishing horrible misogynistic films.
Over 11.6 billion people have viewed videos on the app with the hashtag Andrew Tate, but the content has been criticized for fostering ‘extreme sexism’ and ‘radicalizing’ young males. There have been 11.6 billion views on the TikTok app under a hashtag of his nameThe controversial influencer has been banned from Facebook and Instagram. Meta informed the BBC that the former kickboxer had been removed from its site for violating its standards on harmful organizations and persons, but did not disclose any other information.

At the time of his termination, he had 4.7 million Instagram followers; this figure had climbed significantly from approximately one million followers in June.

Tate has not yet responded to the ban. He has been approached by MailOnline for comment.

Twitter had already banned him after he stated that women who had been raped “must carry responsibility.”

In one video, the 35-year-old billionaire instructs men accused of infidelity by their women to “knock out the machete, boom in her face, and grab her by the neck.” ‘Shut up, you shrew!’

In April of this year, authorities in Romania investigated the sexist influencer for human trafficking and rape after receiving a complaint from a lady who had lived with him there.
TikTok stated that it had taken action against videos and accounts that violate its community standards.

Misogyny is a hateful worldview that is not accepted on TikTok, per a TikTok spokesman.

We’ve been eliminating infringing videos and accounts for weeks, and we’re pleased to hear that other sites are also taking action against this user.

Because of his abhorrent ideas, thousands of people demanded that he be removed from social media networks, which led to the Meta ban.

Activists and women’s organizations demanded that the Big Brother star be removed from their platforms out of concern that his misogynistic ideas will “normalize violence.”

Tate’s remarks were deemed ‘very misogynistic’ by the UK charity White Ribbon, whose mission is to end male violence against women. This caused concerns about the ‘concerning’ long-term impact his ideas could have on younger viewers.

Men and boys who routinely watch and listen to unfavorable portrayals of masculinity may adopt these attitudes and behaviors, believing that they are acting as the “perfect man.”

This pertains to being perceived as rough, aggressive, and emotionless. These characteristics contribute to gender norms, what it means to be a man or a woman.

Traditional and negative perceptions that limit women’s and men’s roles in society are directly responsible for gender disparity.

Not only does this place a great deal of pressure on men and boys, often harming their mental health and self-image, but it also produces hostile cultures and situations for women and girls.

“Sexist and disparaging remarks exist on the same continuum as dominating behavior and physical and sexual assault, which produces conditions in which men murder women.”

Politicians also joined in on the controversy, asserting that the Chinese-owned video-sharing platform TikTok, from which the majority of Tate’s views originate, was’more interested in data mining’ than eliminating dangerous rape content.

Sir Iain Duncan Smith, a former leader of the Conservative Party, stated, “This is another another evidence of how awful TikTok is.

This person should have no presence on social media.

TikTok, which has questionable ties to Chinese security services, is more concerned about collecting data than protecting our children.

“Parents must be made more aware of the hazards of their children using this software, which targets children and their data, which might be harvested by a foreign force hostile to the United Kingdom and our values in the future.”

Andrew Bridgen, the Member of Parliament for North West Leicestershire, told MailOnline that TikTok had a responsibility to remove damaging content from its network as soon as possible.

He continued, “It is quite irresponsible for TikTok to have these films available for young viewers.”

We are aware that TikTok can have a significant impact on young brains, and it is a highly popular internet platform.

It’s concerning that such content can be viewed by so many people.

A spokesperson for TikTok told MailOnline at the time of the criticism, ‘Misogyny and other hateful ideas and behaviors are not accepted on TikTok, and we are working to investigate this content and take action against violations of our guidelines.

As part of our efforts to keep TikTok a safe and welcoming space for our community, we are constantly seeking to tighten our policies and enforcement techniques, including adding more safeguards to our recommendation system.
