Ex-lover is accused of murdering a 36-year-old Texas teacher and left her her body in the bedroom for her 5-year-old kid to discover.
Shereena Ann Webster, age 36, was allegedly murdered by her ex-boyfriend, Eric Mitchell Rivas.
Police claim he broke into her home and murdered her while her kid was next door.
The instructor had stopped their relationship and was communicating with other men.
The bullet-riddled body of a beloved Texas educator was discovered by her five-year-old daughter after her ex-boyfriend allegedly shot and killed her.
Shereena Ann Webster, 36, was murdered at her Amarillo home on August 18, and Erik Mitchell Rivas, 32, has been arrested.
According to a criminal complaint acquired by KVII, Webster’s little daughter Oaklyn was in another room of the residence during the gruesome murder.

Webster, 36, was murdered in her Amarillo home on August 18; her former partner Erik Mitchell Rivas, 32, has been arrested.
According to the complaint, the daughter discovered her mother’s lifeless body torn apart by bullets at 5 a.m. and contacted her grandma, Patricia Byington, who called the police.
Officers arrived at the residence around 5:15 a.m. and discovered many shot casings in the room.
Rivas was detained when surveillance footage from a neighbor’s home revealed his vehicle was on the site around 4:15 a.m.
A ladder belonging to Webster’s employer was also discovered resting against his secured backyard fence.
The ladder is suspected to have been used to gain entry to the residence, and footprints were discovered in the backyard.
Webster taught for a decade at Oakdale Elementary in Amarillo and earned a master’s degree in educational leadership in 2019.
According to the lawsuit, Webster and Rivas were together for several years before she “terminated the relationship and began communicating to other guys.”
The teacher was scheduled to see a “romantic interest” in Colorado on August 19, the day before she was murdered.
Webster taught for a decade at Oakdale Elementary in Amarillo and earned a master’s degree in educational leadership in 2019.
Last year, she began teaching at South Georgia Elementary.
According to the obituary, Shereena’s kid was her “universe, her mini-me, her dearest friend, and her tiny miracle.”
It was a great thing to witness Shereena’s affection for her. Their relationship was and will remain unshakable.
