Energy Capital & Power (ECP) is proud to announce that this year, the South Sudan Oil & Power (SSOP) conference

The South Sudan Oil & Power (SSOP) conference, which will be held from September 13–14, 2022, at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Juba, has received more foreign confirmations this year than ever before, Energy Capital & Power (ECP) is happy to announce.

With delegations from the local and global market attending the two-day conference, SSOP 2022, now in its fifth edition, serves as the main international forum promoting trade and investment in east Africa.

The high-level gathering is likely to draw delegations from China, Turkey, Egypt, Canada, the Netherlands, South Africa, Somalia, and India, whose ambassadors have already confirmed their attendance.

More confirmations are anticipated to come in the upcoming weeks from places like Uganda, Sudan, and the UK.

The South Sudanese Ministries of Petroleum, Energy, and Dams, as well as the Ministries of Finance and Economic Planning, have officially partnered with this year’s event, while ministers from Ethiopia, Somalia, and Norway have also confirmed their attendance through video link.

Kenyan, Sudanese, and Egyptian ministers are also anticipated to be present.

In the next two months, the event anticipates seven additional regional and international attendees, and ten ministers from various national oil firms are scheduled to speak.

ECP is working with the U.S. embassy in Juba and experts on trade restrictions as the conference’s organizer to guarantee that there will be comprehensive, solutions-focused talks about trade, business, and investment at the gathering.

The entry point to investing and conducting business in east Africa is South Sudan.

The international endorsements of SSOP show not only the nation’s support for its developing energy sector but also the significant change that is occurring all around the nation.
