Former Arsenal player Emmanuel Frimpong so highly regards Harry Kane that the striker would drive himself from Tottenham to The Emirates if he were to join the club.
Even though Kane has spent most of his career at Arsenal’s fiercest rivals, Spurs, Frimpong is prepared to see beyond the striker’s allegiances in order to strengthen the Gunners’ assault. And if Kane were willing to join Mikel Arteta’s team, Frimpong is willing to act as his driver to make sure the switch is successful.
But, the 31-year-old is aware that if Kane did the unimaginable and joined Arsenal, the White Hart Lane crowd would never forgive him. As he believes Kane has been the finest striker in the Premier League for the previous four to five years, Frimpong is eager to upset the apple cart.
If a player can assist the Gunners in winning trophies, snatching them from any of Arsenal’s London rivals is acceptable to the Ghanaian. If Arsenal had the chance to get Kane, he said to Midnite, “I’d personally drive him to Arsenal. Harry Kane should Arsenal acquire? why not
“I want Arsenal to go better and win trophies. I don’t care whether a player plays for Tottenham or Chelsea; I’ll take Kane if he can help Arsenal and make us a better team. I’ll personally drive him to Arsenal.
“Kane looks to be a superb professional and has been the best striker in the Premier League for the previous four or five seasons. One of my favorite players to watch is Kane. He has shown a lot of loyalty to Tottenham, and I hope that they will show him the same loyalty in the future.
“I don’t believe Daniel Levy would transfer Kane to Arsenal and Tottenham supporters would never forgive him, you’d make Arsenal a lot stronger and lose your greatest player,” a fan of Tottenham said. Kane will be enviously glancing at his competitors from across the city if league leaders Arsenal win the Premier League this season.
But, Arsenal are less likely than Manchester United to sign Spurs’ all-time leading scorer this summer.
Kane is apparently in the Red Devils’ sights, and with new Qatari owners expected to take over the club, United will have the money on hand to persuade Daniel Levy to let Tottemham’s greatest asset to leave North London.
