The Rings of Power TV series, set to be the most expensive ever produced, is reported to be a pet project of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who was heavily involved in the pitching for the rights to adapt JRR Tolkien's Lord of the Rings

On Monday, the richest man in the world tweeted, “Tolkien is turning in his grave” in response to The Rings of Power, a series that aired on September 1 and is claimed to be the pet project of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.

The majority of male characters thus far are cowards, jerks, or both. Only Galadriel is bold, intelligent, and kind,’ Musk remarked, alluding to the female protagonist of the series.

He went on to imply that 90 percent of the answers to his Tweets were automated, alluding to his conflict with Twitter, whose owners are suing him for backing out of a contract to purchase the firm after Musk claimed Twitter’s board overstated the number of users.

The Rings of Power TV series is rumored to be a pet project of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who was reportedly significantly involved in the pitching for the rights to adapt JRR Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings.

The series is the most expensive season of television ever produced, with Bezos apparently being heavily involved in the pitch for the rights to adapt JRR Tolkien’s writings, with Amazon paying Tolkien’s estates approximately $250.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the studio is projected to spend nearly one billion dollars on the series.

Bezos once ran a summer camp for his neighbors that included Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien on the reading list.

Lord of the Rings by Peter Jackson grossed about $3 billion at the box office and became one of the most beloved film series of all time. It received a record-breaking eleven Academy Awards, including best picture.

Amazon is betting that its series, which is set thousands of years before the events of the original Lord of the Rings trilogy, will generate the same amount of spin-offs, merchandise, and cultural influence as HBO’s Game of Thrones.

HBO released the first episode of its new spin-off series House Of The Dragon for free on YouTube just days after Amazon’s new fantasy series premiered, showcasing its prequel show as the two studios compete with fantasy titles.

Galadriel is portrayed by Morfydd Clark in the series set thousands of years before the original Lord of the Rings trilogy.

As the first two episodes of the Lord Of The Rings prequel were scheduled to broadcast on Friday, many noted there were no reviews on Amazon Prime Video’s site.

Not satisfied: As the series presently holds a 34% average audience score on the film and television aggregate website Rotten Tomatoes, many have questioned whether the media giant made the decision to avoid getting “review bombed.”

It occurred after Amazon disabled user reviews on its highly anticipated series out of concern that the show could be’review bombed’

On Rotten tomatoes, the audience score for The Rings of Power is only 39%, despite the reviewer score of 84%.

Numerous audience critics cited the diverse ensemble and their disdain for the female protagonist Galadriel (portrayed by Morfydd Clark) as reasons for their low rating.
