Just days after it was revealed that he fathered twins with one of his top executives tipped to take over Twitter, Elon Musk is expected to deliver the keynote address at the annual Allen & Co.’s Sun Valley Conference, where tech billionaires congregate.
The 51-year-old billionaire is scheduled to deliver the speech on Saturday at the Idaho venue known as the “billionaire summer camp,” where the biggest names in business and technology assemble to discuss the direction of their respective fields.
Although it’s unclear what Musk’s speech will cover, the Tesla CEO is scheduled to close on his $44 billion acquisition of Twitter in October after a judge rejected a lawsuit that sought to block the transaction.
Shivon Zilis, 36, a top executive at Musk’s Neuralink AI company, is one of his top executives and is widely expected to run the social media network once the deal is finalized.
A month before having his second child with singer Grimes, Musk fathered twins with Zilis in November, according to court documents.
According to Insider, Musk and Zilis petitioned to have the twins’ names changed in April so that they would “have their father’s last name and contain their mother’s last name as part of their middle name.”
Zilis, who was born in Ontario, Canada, met Musk through OpenAI, the nonprofit organization Musk cofounded in 2015 for artificial intelligence research and application.
At Yale, where she also played goalie for the women’s ice hockey team, she studied economics and philosophy.
Zilis appeared on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list for venture capital in 2015, and in 2017 she was given the opportunity to apply her AI expertise at Tesla.
A throwback photo of the two of them from 2013, taken when she was asked to brief Prince Harry on tech startups, was posted by Zilis just last year in a nod to Prince Harry’s Silicon Valley startup.
Currently, Zilis oversees operations and special projects for Musk’s brain-machine interface business, Neuralink.
According to CNN, the company boasted about its success in implanting company chips into monkey brains and claimed the primates could now play pong.
Since then, the company has had to respond to questions about its testing procedures after denying accusations of animal cruelty earlier this year despite acknowledging that monkeys had died during testing.
Zilis has been mentioned as a potential candidate for Musk to hire to lead Twitter Inc. after his $44 billion acquisition deal closes in October given her impressive tech background.
The most recent obstacle to the sale was a lawsuit filed against Musk and Morgan Stanley in May by a Twitter stakeholder. Morgan Stanley is assisting Musk on the transaction.
The investor, the Orlando Police Pension Fund, asserted that before the deal’s terms were made public, Musk and Morgan Stanley covertly discussed them. The shareholder also asserted that Twitter’s board violated “its fiduciary obligation” by accepting Musk’s offer.
The stockholders cannot file the identical claims again after a judge in Delaware’s Chancery Court rejected the case with prejudice.
Musk has stated that he intends to lead Twitter to a one billion user growth, but he has not yet publicly identified the individual who will be in control of the dominant social media platform.
What his relationship is with Zilis is now unknown, however in 2020, it seemed as though they were getting along.
Zilis tweeted at the time in support of Musk’s plan to relocate Tesla out of California because of COVID-19 regulations.
Lorena Gonzalez Fletcher, a member of the California State Assembly, tweeted “F**k Elon Musk.”

Before purchasing a $4.3 million property in a gated neighbourhood in Austin, Texas, last August, Zilis resided in San Francisco. Austin is around five hours’ drive from Musk’s primary residence in Boca Chica, which is close to his SpaceX launch pad.
However, according to Insider, the couple claimed their Austin home’s address as their domicile in the court filings for the name change of their twins.
Musk now has nine children in total as a result of the news of the twins’ birth. In addition to the five children he has with his ex-wife, Canadian novelist Justine Wilson, Musk also has two children with Canadian artist Grimes.
It’s the most recent event in Musk’s tumultuous personal life, which has included three marriages, three divorces—two of them with the same woman—and seven kids from two committed relationships.
Exa Dark Siderael, also known as Y, was born to Musk and Grimes via surrogate in December. According to a Page Six piece from September of last year, the millionaire said that he and Grimes were “semi-separated.” They also have a child with the name X, A-Xii.

Wilson and Musk were married from 2000 to 2008.
The transgender kid revealed that they want to adopt their mother’s last name to separate themselves from their father, who has a $213 billion fortune and is the richest man in the world.
However, they have not stated whether they receive financial help from their father.
Musk has spoken out on a number of transgender issues, and last year he expressed his displeasure with those who use their own pronouns.

The couple, who had no children together, permanently parted in March 2016 after Talulah filed for divorce a third time.
Elon then allegedly pursued actress Amber Heard for many years before dating her for a short time in late 2016 and early 2017.
Later, Johnny, Amber’s ex-husband, claimed that Amber had an affair with Elon while they were still married, but Elon and Amber both denied this.

To comply with California law, which forbids the use of any digits or symbols in a name, the couple was compelled to alter the spelling of their son’s name after he was born.
The infant’s birth certificate would be registered under the name X AE A-Xii, using the Roman numeral version of the number ’12’ and changing the character ae to AE, rather than X A-12, they announced just a few weeks after the baby was born.
Exa Dark Siderl, also known as Y, their second child, was born in December.
