In an interview with The Sun that was published on July 13, billionaire Elon Musk’s father Errol Musk acknowledged that he had a second child secretly with his stepdaughter Jana Bezuidenhout, who he had reared since she was four years old.
The Sun quoted Elon Musk’s estranged father, Errol Musk, as saying that he secretly welcomed a second child with his stepdaughter Jana Bezuidenhout. Elon Musk is the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX.
After the birth of their son, he was living with Jana, despite his assertions that the second child was unplanned. According to reports, the couple was dating and had their first child, Elliot Rush, in 2017.
In 2019, the “secret second child” was born. Even though Errol claims he did not do a DNA test, it is “pretty obvious” that the child is his.
“I haven’t checked her DNA. But she looks just like my other daughters. She looks like Rose and Tosca mixed up. She looks exactly like Rushi and she behaves like him. So it’s pretty obvious you know,” he said to the publication.
“She wasn’t planned. But I mean, we were living together. She [Jana] stayed here for about 18 months after Rushi was born. But I realised she’s two generations behind whereas her mother was one generation behind when I married her,” he continued.
Errol said that he would have more children if he could since he believes that humans are here to reproduce.
“The only thing we are on Earth for is to reproduce. If I could have another child I would. I can’t see any reason not to,” he said.
Janai is the daughter of Errol’s second wife, Heide Bezuidenhuot. Following his divorce from Elon’s mother Maye Musk, Errol wed Heide. The South African engineer and Heide were married for 18 years and are the parents of two biological children.
Heide’s previous relationship produced Jana. Because Jana was just four years old when Errol and Heide got married, he assisted in raising her. He said that because Jana is their sister, his two daughters with Heide do not support his relationship with her.
“And they still don’t like it. They still feel a bit creepy about it, because she’s their sister. Their half-sister,” he said to The Sun.
