Colin Savage, 48, suffers whiplash and a shoulder injury

This is the horrific moment a car swerved onto the wrong side of the road and crashed into a driving instructor’s vehicle, flipping it before it hit a tree – while the ‘idiot’ driver avoided prosecution for the collision.

In Canterbury, Kent, a black Nissan Qashqai crashed into Colin Savage’s Ford Puma, causing him to sustain whiplash and a shoulder injury.

The driving teacher attempted to swerve and take evasive action, but was unable to prevent collision with the rogue vehicle.

After the crash, his automobile was left in ruins, and his wife, who was a passenger, is now a “nervous wreck” and terrified to get back into a car.

Now, Mr. Savage has criticized Kent Police for deciding not to press charges against the Qashqai’s driver, who was just required to complete a course on respectful driving.

I believe it’s disgraceful, he said, according to KentOnline. Police said, “Oh, he hasn’t gotten away with it,” but in reality, he has.

He is not being prosecuted, there is nothing against him on his license, and he is unaffected in any way, shape, or form.

“I may need shoulder surgery, and my wife is seeing a therapist because she breaks down in tears whenever we’re driving down a country road and a car is coming the other way.”

He claimed that once the car drifted “a metre” into his side of the road, he had just “one second to react.”

Before hitting a tree, Mr. Savage’s car flipped due to the Nissan.

He continued, “I fear to think if one of my learners had been behind the wheel and had come around the curve.

When I watch the video, I’m puzzled as to how I missed it.

Following the collision, Mr. Savage’s wife was brought to the hospital with muscular injury that had made her already-existing arthritis “1,000 times worse.”

He stated that she was sent to a psychiatrist and that the impact of the airbag and seatbelt left her “black and blue all over.”

She now tries to avoid driving, according to the driving instructor. She was a highly assured driver and passenger before.

We used to travel by car and she would read maps, but now days she is a frightened wreck.

“She flinches every time we are on the road and a car is coming from the other direction.”

On May 9, at around 2.25 pm, officers and paramedics were called to the location, according to a Kent Police spokesperson.

The police department added: “Officers worked to clear the road and aid in the retrieval of the vehicles.

“A woman was taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution.

Although neither driver was suspected of driving under the influence, a breathalyzer that had been brought to the scene was discovered to be malfunctioning.

One of the drivers involved has been offered to complete a safe and responsible driving awareness course after Kent Police’s Traffic Summons Case Review Team reviewed the circumstances.

If the motorist rejects the training, a court summons or fine will be issued and additional thought will be given to it.
