Dozens of migrants from Texas heading to NYC were held against their will as they attempted to get off at a stop in Chattanooga, Tenn

An anxious immigrant aboard a bus bound for New York City hurriedly informed authorities that he and the other passengers were being “forced” to go there against their will.

In an effort to protest President Joe Biden’s border policy, Texas Governor Gregg Abbott has transported dozens of migrants on buses to New York City. As the number of migrants crossing the border topped 2.5 million in May, according to US Customs and Border Protection, Abbott has also dispatched migrants to Washington, DC.

On August 13, the unnamed guy, who opted to take part in Abbott’s campaign, made a call to the police while waiting at a stop near Chattanooga, Tennessee, pleading with them to assist in their release.

The immigrant aboard the bus said that everyone on board had various destinations and that they intended to disembark in Tennessee and go to the airport as instructed.

According to a 911 tape that The New York Post was able to get, the guy remarked to the operator in Spanish, “We’re in Chattanooga, and over here, some men have detained us on the bus without our will.”

“Our family are eagerly awaiting us.” They are detaining us against our will and won’t let us go.

We can’t get off till we reach New York, the driver is now saying. We feel compelled to go to New York. When I was informed that I would be getting off at Chattanooga, I don’t understand why.

An anxious immigrant on a bus bound for New York City contacted the police and said that he and several other passengers were being “forced” to go to NYC. On August 19, 2022, migrants are bussed from Texas to New York City.

On August 13, when he sought to go from Chattanooga, Tennessee, to the airport, the unnamed guy contacted the police and begged them to assist him.

Their relatives are waiting for them, the guy informed 911. He said that Tennessee was the place where he could get off the bus.

The bus driver put on a mask and tried to cover his face halfway through the 911 call.

The migrant said, “I’m witnessing the driver put a ski mask on his face and won’t allow me see his face.”

The call may have ended due to a broken connection.

20 minutes after the 911 call, at 12:50 p.m., police arrived at the Favorite Markets gas station at 3117 Parker Lane; however, the bus was nowhere to be seen.

However, a migrant told The Post that many of the passengers were allowed to leave the bus nearby and ordered an Uber to transport them to the airport.

Few migrants really made it to NYC.

According to a representative for Abbott, “buses travel various routes to the agreed-upon destinations of Washington, DC, and New York City, and make many stops along the way for recharging.”

These migrants signed a voluntary consent release, which was accessible in many languages, indicating their agreement to go to New York City or our country’s capital before boarding.

A representative for New York City Mayor Eric Adams told The Post that these calls might lead to “legal action to safeguard the rights of these people and families.”

At 12.50 p.m., 20 minutes after the first report, the anonymous immigrant called 911 from the Favorite Markets petrol station at 3117 Parker Lane (above), but the bus was nowhere to be seen.

According to a representative for NYC Mayor Eric Adams, “legal action” may be taken after the 911 call “to safeguard the rights of these people and their families.”

20 buses have already left Texas for New York City, according to Abbott’s spokeswoman Renae Eze, and more are yet to arrive.

More than 175 busloads carrying more than 7,200 migrants had left Texas for Washington, D.C. as of Monday.

Every week, pictures show additional buses pulling up to Port Authority in New York City with migrants getting off after traveling from Texas.

On Sunday, when another busload of migrants arrived in New York City, a queue of other migrants, some of whom had already been transported there by bus from Texas, gathered outside Lincoln Hospital in the Bronx to obtain food, medical attention, and other necessities.

They are a part of a campaign that was launched in mid-April to transfer migrants to New York City and Washington, D.C., in an effort to lessen the impact of the southern border issue on border towns. The situation should be brought to the attention of American decision-makers as well.

A pressure on the already overcrowded shelter system has been created by the more than 4,000 refugees who have already arrived in the five boroughs in recent weeks.

In May, Arizona Governor Doug Ducey began to transport immigrants who had entered his state illegally to the capitol, following Abbott’s lead.

According to Governor Greg Abbott’s administration, more than 1,000 migrants have now been transported by bus from Texas to New York City.

In the next weeks, migrants who cross the border into New York City will be temporarily accommodated at the $700 per night luxurious The Row in Times Square, a popular tourist destination.

The Row, which is well-liked by tourists and business travelers alike and is characterized as “merging NYC’s roughness with grandeur” on travel review websites, will soon serve as a center for housing migrants on the expense of the taxpayers.

The four-star Row is located in the Broadway Theater District of Manhattan on 8th Avenue between 44th and 45th Streets. It offers typical NYC vistas, a comprehensive fitness center, a shared workstation with Apple’s $2,000 iMac PCs, and a lounge where “hand-stretched” pizzas are available for $20. Cocktails on the bar menu may cost up to $19 apiece. $22 buys a glass of champagne. Depending on size, hotel rooms vary in price, however the executive suite costs $719 per night.

According to sources, the governors of Texas and Arizona would transport families and people to “liberal cities” from the borders on up to four floors of the 28-story structure, which will be turned up to New York City’s Department of Homeless Services.

The hotel’s staff said that the migrants would enter the building by a different door than tourists, likely the rear trade entrance, and would be kept apart from other guests on floors designated expressly for emergency housing. They said that security will probably be increased as well.

The $700 a night The Row in Times Square will temporarily host migrants crossing the border into New York City. However, they will be put to ring-fenced floors and instructed to use a different entrance than the visitors paying top price to stay there.

Migrants staying at The Row will have access to iconic views of the Manhattan cityscape from their bedroom windows. A few migrants from Texas who talked with DailyMail.com upon their arrival at NYC’s Port Authority Bus Terminal claimed they were eager to see the sights.

According to reports, the hip hotel is collaborating with Mayor Adams to turn up to four floors of the property into an intake center. The City said that it will let out 1,000 rooms, like this one at the Row, to accommodate the migrants, but Adams is anticipated to reveal plans for the rental of an additional 5,000 rooms for emergency housing in the following weeks.
