Donna D’Errico replies fans who say she’s too old to wear a bikini

Star of “Baywatch” Donna D’Errico responded to trolls who called her “too elderly to wear a bikini.”

The now 54-year-old actress, best known for playing Donna Marco in the cult lifeguard series Baywatch in the mid-1990s, has insisted she has the freedom to do “whatever I want” in response to criticism after she shared a video of herself on July 4 wearing an American flag bikini to celebrate Independence Day.

“Quite a few women complained about the Fourth of July video I posted in a red, white, and blue bikini because they thought I was “classier than that,” “too old to wear a bikini,” and, my favorite, “desperate,” according to D’Errico, who posed for Playboy as its Playmate of the Month for September 1995. You might be surprised by what I’m about to say. I basically have no restrictions on what I dress or do. On that point, here I am crouching on a coffee table in a bikini.

After 11 years of marriage, rock star Nikki Sixx and D’Errico were divorced in 2007.

In 2001, they gave birth to a daughter as a couple. Rhyan, D’Errico’s other son, was born in 1993.

D’Errico said in 2011 that she was preparing to realize a lifelong ambition to ascend Mount Ararat in Turkey in search of the frozen remains of Noah’s ark.

D’Errico scaled Mount Ararat in the middle of 2012 and, after suffering injuries from a fall near the summit, flew back to the United States in August.
