Former President Donald Trump has collaborated on a song called ‘Justice For All’ with the J6 Prison Choir. The choir is composed of members of the MAGA mob who remain imprisoned for their roles in the January 6 Capitol attack.
The song, which was released on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, and other platforms on Friday, uses Trump’s spoken word recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance over the Star-Spangled Banner, with the prisoners chanting ‘USA’ at the end.
The song’s release comes ahead of Trump’s keynote address at this year’s Conservative Political Action Conference on Saturday evening.
During his speech, Trump will likely continue to portray his supporters involved in the January 6 Capitol attack as political prisoners. Trump has pledged to give the insurrectionists full pardons and an apology from the government should he win reelection in 2024.
In December, Trump filmed a message for a group that provides legal support to January 6 defendants, promising to look into what he called a ‘very unfair situation’ during his 2024 run.
On Friday, Trump also pitched the creation of up to 10 new American cities, called ‘Freedom Cities,’ which would have flying cars and incentivized baby-making, as he pledged to give potential parents ‘baby bonuses’ to increase the American birth rate.
These cities would also have towering monuments to America’s true heroes, similar to the National Garden of American Heroes that Trump had planned to build.
Trump believes that these freedom cities will reignite American imagination and will give hardworking families a new shot at homeownership and the American dream.
However, not everyone is a fan of Trump’s new tune. Robert Maguire, the research director at the watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, tweeted that he had never been more repulsed by the mere existence of a song than one sung by a president who tried to do a coup and a literal “choir” of insurrectionists who tried to help him.
