According to the actor’s mother, the couple never made their flight or returned their rental vehicle.
The two were last seen on October 9 at the Hanalei Bay Resort. They were believed to be traveling towards Kokee State Park and Shipwrecks Beach, specifically the cliff diving area, after asking for instructions.
James Lastovic, 27, was located after his mother reported him missing after he and his roommate Nevin Dizdari vanished in Hawaii.
According to an Instagram story made by Nevin’s sister Emma Dizdari on Tuesday morning, the two were discovered.

James’ mother, Lucienne Lastovic, was the first to post on social media that the two had gone missing in Kauai, Hawaii, on Sunday, October 9, following a stay at the Hanalei Bay Resort.

The pair was scheduled to return to California on Monday, but they missed their trip and did not return their rental car.

Lastovic is most recognized for her work on ‘Days of Our Lives’ and ‘Insatiable’ on Netflix.
Since 2015, the actor has portrayed Joey Johnson on the NBC serial series.
Lastovic’s recurring role on ‘Days of Our Lives’ spanned over five years.
All of their possessions were left at the resort, and their hostess, Carrie Flanders, last saw them at 8 a.m. on Sunday.
They communicated with Flanders around 1:30 p.m., but that was the last time they were heard from.
The two reportedly requested directions and information on Shipwrecks Beach, inquiring specifically about the cliff diving area.
They allegedly inquired about Kokee State Park with the hope of undertaking a “long trail trip.”
Lastovic and Dizdari, according to the actor’s mother, hoped to check out the cliff diving scene at a Kauai beach and do a ‘long trail trip’ at Kokee State Park.
The police were promptly contacted and took possession of the couple’s abandoned items.
At the time of writing, Daily Mail Online had reached out to the Kauai Police Department for comment or an update on the case but had not received a response.
The actor is most known for his appearances on the NBC soap opera ‘Days of Our Lives,’ but he has also appeared in the Netflix series ‘Insatiable.’
Lastovic has played Joey Johnson in recurrent roles on ‘Days of Our Lives’ since 2015. His character made five years’ worth of appearances.
Also starring opposite Laura Marano and Ron Pearlman in the 2021 thriller ‘This Game’s Called Murder’ is Lastovic.
According to his relatives, Dizdari and Lastovic reside together in Los Angeles and were scheduled to return on Monday.
