Brighton’s Danny Welbeck has named former Chelsea player Eden Hazard as the best footballer he has ever played against in his career.

Hazard, now 32 years old, played for Chelsea for seven years and had a memorable career with the club.

He played as an excellent left-winger after joining from Lille in 2012 for a fee of around £32 million.

During his time at Chelsea, Hazard was a key player in the team and helped them to win six trophies, including two Premier League titles, with his effortless shooting and dribbling skills. He scored a total of 110 goals and made 92 assists in 352 games across all competitions for Chelsea.

According to Welbeck, Hazard’s balance, agility, and movement made him an incredibly difficult player to play against during his time at Chelsea. In Welbeck’s words, “He was pretty much unplayable.”

Welbeck himself has played for top Premier League teams such as Manchester United and Arsenal.

However, the Belgian international’s skills on the field left an indelible impression on Welbeck, who rates Hazard as the best he has ever played against.
