Cricket great Michael Slater hit with new assault charges

Michael Slater, a legendary cricketer for Australia, has been charged with further assault.

On July 18, near Frenchs Forest on Sydney’s northern beaches, the former celebrity reportedly attacked a guy.

He is charged with two additional charges of common assault and one count of attempting to intimidate or stalk someone with the intent to cause them bodily or mental damage.

New assault charges have been brought against Michael Slater (pictured) in relation to an incident that happened in Frenchs Forest in July.

Between 1993 and 2001, Slater represented Australia in 74 Test matches and 42 one-day internationals before switching to television analysis.

After criticizing Prime Minister Scott Morrison on Twitter when he was in the Maldives during the Indian Premier League’s suspension due to the epidemic, he was fired from Channel 7’s cricket coverage in October of last year.
